Admission

According to the HUJI Masters Regulations a candidate should be in possession of Bachelor’s degree from an Israeli University or College of Higher Education with the GPA of 80 (on a 0-100 scale). Naturally, MSc candidates with foreign degrees are also admitted to HUJI. Foreign degrees are evaluated and approved as equivalent by the HUJI Admissions Office. 
In order to be admitted as a candidate, you must find an available position in one of the research groups of the Institute of Chemistry.
Candidates having lower GPAs or holding degrees not in Chemical sciences can be admitted as Master’s Degree candidates only after formal approval by the Head of School of Chemistry and will be required to complement studies depending on their background, GPA and the desired area of specialization.

 

Registration for a Master’s degree consists of two stages:

  1. University level: (Office of Registration and Admissions) online or by means of a registration packet.
  2. Faculty level by setting up an account in the registration system, filling in details and attaching the transcript of grades including the Bachelor’s degree average grade and accreditation of entitlement to the Bachelor’s degree. and press the " ‘Submit Forms’ button. " to complete the procedure, please enter the "Submission Status.

please note that:

  • Candidates who studied/studies for the Bachelores degree at the Hebrew University can attach a non-official transcript of studies (taken from student personal information).
  • Candidates who have not yet received their accreditation of entitlement to the Bachelor’s degree must attach only the transcript which includes the degree grade average.

Admitions starts at January. It is highly recommended that students register by the end of July of the same year in order to maximize their chances for acceptance and to enable the teaching program to integrate students into practice positions and award scholarships to those who are worthy and suitable.

  1. Chemistry with specialization in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology track - 4071
  2. Master’s Degree in Chemistry for foreign students - 5042
  3. Specialization in Organic, Inorganic and Bio(in)organic chemistry - 5043
  4. Specialization in Physical and theoretical chemistry - 5044
  5. Specialization in Material chemistry and Applied nanotechnology - 5045
